Our community is founded by lay Catholics mostly migrating from Karen State in Myanmar and few Thai Catholics from different area of Thailand. Since the arrival of a Xaverian father in 2016, the pastoral work properly speaking is being carried out for at least 20 families including those living in Nupo Refugee Camp. In 2019, the community was formally set up and named after Saint Francis Xavier as its saint patron.

Encounter Trip
A liberating space for anyone who seeks and encounters God
Inter and Multi Cultural
At the heart of Catholicism, lies a living encounter between people of different cultures and traditions. Members of our community comes from different ethnics and nationalities both in Thailand and the neighbouring countries. Being along the borders between Thailand and Myanmar with their respective complexity of etnicity, the community becomes home for all who share their lives for a more peaceful and just society. That's why the community engages many local and international volunteers in carrying out its mission of love and mercy.
