We host group mission trips of young adult who look for overseas mission experience in order to strengthen their faith and their knowledge of the richness of Catholic mission worldwide. Their presence in the same time will encourage the young Christian community and local communities to be firm in their faith and keep the continuity of work previously made by our partners.

Youth Encounter Trip

This mission trips for Catholic youth gives a greater opportunity to refine and deepen their faith as Catholics while giving significant impact to the local communities they serve.  We partner with Catholics and their families to keep your youth group in touch with the reality of mission and land their personal skill or professional capabilities to the needs of the local communities.

We organize every year English Camps for more than 10 public schools in Umphang including those of Informal Schools in the protected forest. As schools in sub-urban have poor English, our program helps the students having better and effective method to improve their English. Your youth can join our team for 1-2 weeks activities while organizing interesting outbound to make English a Fun Experience.

Umphang is the biggest sub-district of Thailand, mostly mountainous as it is edged by Naresuan Wildlife Sanctuary in the south. Its western edge of shares a long boundary with Myanmar. Your youth will have a great adventure of discovery and encounter with people of different villages both in Thailand and Myanmar. Our adventure will lead the youth to an experience of community with local people and their cultures. People and their culture are we encounter God today.

Xavier Oratory offers you a wide opportunity of ‘live in’ experience. You can choose to be hosted by the locals including Catholic families. Those who chose a special accommodation and lodging are endorsed to stay in a kind of local-alike home stay. By living in this kind of space, we give support to local alike tourism for local income generation project. Instead of spending money in commercial lodging service, you can spend it in the local-alike home stay in order to support the local tourism. In this way, tourism cannot become a monopoly of certain business players. We provide you safe and comfortable transportation during your stay. Your group can always choose to have meals by your own or to have it with the locals. All these possibilities certainly allow your youth group to have direct experience of mission.
